Graywater collection The graywater is collected separatly from unwanted wastewater fractions in settling tanks, from which the multi-stage cleaning unit is fed continually. Biological treatment with the Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) The mildly polluted graywater is cleaned with a proven biological wastewater treatment system: characteristic wastewater bacteria, which populate the large surface area of the polyethylene rotating contactors, consume the biologically degradable waste particles. The optimal oxygen supply is provided by the revolving rotors. The surplus biological sludge is then allowed to settle in a secondary settling tank. |
Disinfection, distribution The biologically treated graywater is disinfected by means of UV-radiation and stored in a service water tank. From there the water is pumped into the separate mains network for service water and distributed to the consumers. The storage tank is automatically replenished with drinking water when the service water is in short supply. |
